First Aid for your Tank! Even the most careful and conscientious hobbyist will encounter illness in their tank inhabitants at some point or other.  We carry a number of products that are handy to have on hand for emergencies.  I have written an article on Quarantine & Specimen Selection which can be found on our website HERE.  Here is a list of handy items to have on hand:

Seachem Prime: Removes Chlorine & Chloromine, binds ammonia and nitrite.  Helpful for emergency water changes, when tap water is the only available option.  Also helpful for sudden ammonia/nitrite spikes, decapsulating brine shrimp eggs, and after bleaching filter media or tank decor.  50ml - 500 ml priced from $4.49-19.99.

Polybio Poly Filter Pads: These are handy for many uses, including removing medications after treatment, and they also remove heavy metals, phosphate, ammonia and other toxins.  A must-have for every hobbyist!  Can be rinsed and re-used until they turn black.  $10.99 each.

Seachem Reef Dip: We use and recommend this product to be used on all new coral acquisitions to clean and disinfect colonies.  Helps eliminate pests like nudibranchs and prevents tissue infection. 250 ml $14.99

Jungle Net Soak: Keeps nets soft and pliable, as well as disinfects.  Can also be used to disinfect other aquarium maintenance equipment, such as algae pads. 250 ml $8.99.

Seachem Stability: This product is helpful to cycle new tanks, including quarantine tanks.  Helps establish bio-filter more rapidly, and helps maintain water quality.  100-500 ml bottle $5.99-19.99.

Seachem Matrix: This porous biological media is ideal for use in quarantine systems.  May be cycled in the display tank (in filter or sump) and moved to quarantine as needed.  For best results, use with Stability when establishing a new quarantine system.  250ml- 1 liter $5.99-14.99.
